A Lovely Medieval Stone House

This lovely medieval stone house is in the old village of Vézénobres, which sits perched on a hilltop with views as far as the Cévennes hills, between Ales and Nîmes and an hour from Avignon.

The village has enormous charm, a sense of peace and timelessness, where life is unhurried and appreciated. A place where the senses are filled with colour and scent, by the sound crickets, by the sight of graceful cypress trees, by ancient stone warmed by the sun, by a gentle breeze. The people here are open and welcoming and Vézénobres comes alive when the village celebrates the Fête de la Figue and again at the time of the Olive Festival, when everyone wears traditional costume. At the beginning of the summer there is also an art festival.
